Leadership Team

Our Church Structure is comprised a small Senior Leadership Team, supported by a Board of Trustees and Ministry Leaders and a large proportion of volunteers. At tKCC we value people, whether or not they have a title and many people contribute to the success of the King's Community Church experience.

Pastor Iain Duthie

Pastor Iain and his wife Elizabeth have five children, Rachael, Deborah, Rebecca, Julia and Daniel. Before Iain entered full time ministry he was a GP of a large practice in Aberdeen while continuing to lead and serve the local church. He has had many roles and responsibilities in the Christian community of Aberdeen and brings many years of experience and maturity to leading the fellowship. He is passionate about people and seeing Aberdeen transformed by the love and power of Jesus Christ.

Barry Douglas

Barry joined the team in 2010 as the Assistant Pastor. He is passionate about reaching out to and serving the community, locally and internationally, co-ordinating outreach events, mission trips and community projects. Barry has recently been appointed as Chaplain of Aberdeen Football Club. He is married to Anne and they have two sons, Andrew and Callum.

Barry McAllister

Barry is currently the church secretary and a key part of the finance team. Both him and his wife have been part of church life from their student days and have enjoyed serving in many different roles over the years. Outside Church, he is a Project Manager for a Financial Services company in Aberdeen. He is married to Kath and they have two children, Sarah and Reuben.

Ryan Esslemont

Ryan is currently one of our team of connect group leaders. Originally from Peterhead, Ryan joined us when he came to study in Aberdeen and now outside of church, Ryan works for one of the cities oil companies. He is married to Pamela and they have two sons, Ethan and Aaron.

David Dangfa

David is originally from Nigeria and co-leads our Prayer Ministry, as well as being part of our pastoral care team. David has a heart for prayer and is also a connect group leader within the church. He is married to Kudzi; who is from Zimbabwe; and they have two children, Israel and Malachi.
