Connect Groups

If you haveblue house had the opportunity to read very much of the New Testament, you may have noticed how often the words "one another" are mentioned. Consider these examples: we are told to "love one another," to "be devoted to one another," to "instruct one another," to "serve one another," to "forgive one another," to "offer hospitality to one another," to "encourage one another," to "pray for one another," and to "have fellowship with one another." Even from this handful of references it becomes clear that God intends for us to travel together with other believers on our spiritual journey. This is because, as believers in Christ, we need one another if we are to develop spiritually. In fact, we were designed by God for fellowship with one another. Our spiritual journey was never meant to be done in isolation from one another.

Here at King's Community Church, we are devoted, not only, to preaching and teaching God's word but also to living it. Connect Groups are one way for us to do just that: to live out God's word with one another. Connect Groups seek to create an environment where we can grow in our spiritual formation. They consist of small groups of believers, each consisting of 4-12 people, who meet throughout the Aberdeen area during the week, often in people's homes. They provide great opportunities to build relationships with other believers by praying, sharing and exploring God's word together in an interactive and personal setting. Connect Groups are a place where we can discover our gifts and benefit from the gifts of others within the body of Christ.  Connect groups are a vital step on our journey to becoming fully developed disciples who are ready to serve one another, in our community and in our world. So go ahead, don't be shy, reach out and get connected. Live a full life the way God intended it to be: in the company of ‘one another'.
